2009

FOUNDED BOX RALLIES

After losing his Mother in 2007 and his Father in 2008 both to cancer, James founded Box Rallies with the launch of the first rally.

2010

FIRST ANNUAL FUNDRAISING PROJECT

The first Shitbox Rally took place in March 2010. 50 people in 18 vehicles drove from Sydney to Alice Springs and raised $104,000

2013

SECOND ANNUAL FUNDRAISING PROJECT

Mystery Box Rally was launched to offer diversification and build a fundraising portfolio.

2013

Fundraising milestone

Shitbox Rally raised over $1 million for the first time

2016

FIRST INTERNATIONAL FUNDRAISING PROJECT

Shitbox Rally goes international with the first rally in New Zealand's North Island. In 2017 there was another rally in the South Island.

2016

Our 10th Shitbox Rally raised over $2 million

2019

added a 2nd annual SBR to our portfolio

A second annual SBR launched with the rallies now branded in season (Autumn & Spring)

2023

added a 3rd annual SBR to our portfolio

A third annual SBR launched, now running Autumn, Winter & Spring

2024

Our story

Box Rallies was launched in a time of grief to honour those lost.

Since its launch it has helped to grow an inspiring community of remarkable people. The few that will do so much for the many.

We encompass the projects, the fundraising and the research - all working for a positive outcome for those with cancer.
