Dr Nicholas Hindley is a Cancer Institute NSW Early Career Fellow and an Honorary Fellow of the National Heart Foundation. He currently leads an international research program driving machine learning advances in image-guided radiation therapy.

Dr Hindley is passionate about making the most advanced cancer treatments available to all at very low cost and has developed two open-source algorithms for real-time cancer targeting:

both of which leverage nothing more than the data and resources already available in standard clinical workflows.

In 2020, Dr Hindley received the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship, which enabled him to pursue machine learning research at Harvard Medical School. He holds a PhD from the University of Sydney and undergraduate degrees in chemistry, pharmacology, mathematics and philosophy.
